Internationalization

SOFTWARE-CLUSTER INTERNATIONALIZATION STRATEGY (SCIKE)

Innovation through internationalization

As the leading software cluster for enterprise software, the Software-Custer continues to maintain and increase its ability to innovate, in order to expand its technology leadership in cloud-based platform and industry 4.0 solutions. This requires strong technology partnerships with the world’s most successful regions of innovation.

Within the framework of the BMBF-funded project SCIKE, the Software-Cluster therefore implements innovation projects with partners from Silicon Valley (USA), Singapore and Bahia (Brazil) from 2017 to 2020. These partner regions offer excellent living labs for data-driven projects. Application partners were found here that offer heterogeneous and interesting big data.

Services for cluster partners

As first point of contact for members of the Software-Cluster and actors in the partner regions the coordination offices Bahia, Singapore and Silicon Valley in the software cluster were founded.

The international co-ordination offices will initiate numerous events on the SCIKE partner regions and topics, and will thus offer a wide networking platform.

Through networking in Silicon Valley (USA), Singapore and Bahia (Brazil) the Software-Cluster will be able to identify potential international project partners more quickly.

The members of the Software-Cluster will be continuously informed about current developments in the internationalization of the Software-Cluster. This website and a newsletter will regularly provide information on topics such as the software-defined platforms, mobile business software for Advanced Manufacturing, IT for energy management as well other ICT-related news from the partner regions.

Concrete results will be

  • Application-oriented prototypes in the areas of software-defined platforms (R & D project Silicon Valley), mobile enterprise software for advanced manufacturing (R & D project Singapore) and IT for energy management (R & D project Bahia)
  • Extensive experience on best practices and success factors for international cluster cooperation with focus on the partner regions Bahia (Brazil), Singapore and Silicon Valley (USA)
  • Comprehensive insights into the potential of software-defined platforms, mobile enterprise software for Advanced Manufacturing and IT for energy management considering needs and interests of the domestic Software-Cluster and its members.
