Additional Certificate for graduate students
Additional Certificate “Software Innovations for Digital Enterprises”
German companies play a leading role in the global market for enterprise software. Since the 1970s the Software-Cluster region between Darmstadt, Kaiserslautern, Karlsruhe Saarbrücken, and Walldorf produces regularly pioneering software innovations. Europe’s largest software company, SAP AG, and Germany’s second largest software company, Software AG, are located in this area – as well as numerous innovative small and medium sized businesses and start-ups in the enterprise software industry.
The Software-Cluster provides the foundation for the next generation of enterprise software by uniting business and academia. Purpose of these activities is to maintain and expand Germany’s leading role in the field of enterprise software. The universities of Darmstadt, Kaiserslautern, Karlsruhe, and Saarbrücken offer excellent courses in computer science and qualify their graduates for attractive and exciting careers in the software industry.
Beginning with the winter semester 2013/14, graduate students studying computer science at the universities of Darmstadt, Kaiserslautern, Karlsruhe, and Saarbrücken can obtain the additional certificate “Software Innovations for Digital Enterprises” by focusing their studies on this field. This certificate opens the door to excellent employment opportunities in innovative software companies based in this region or elsewhere in or outside of Germany.
